I have to say that while I believe what is in the Bible, I take any views on time with a grain of salt. All I can do is try to live my life as best I can, pray for forgiveness when I goof and then try to continue on my way. My neighbor who was raised a roman Catholic, then became an Atheist says that part of the Bible is full of self fulfilling prophesy. He points out one in particular. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."--- This he claims is a safety valve for those who might listen to the nay sayers. He claims that we Christians are programmed to just recall this passage when it is put in front of us every day that He is not coming, at least not anytime soon.
